About Court Welfare Services Inc - Midland

The Court Welfare Service provides assistance to people attending court with advice, support and referrals. Officers also assist and liaise with Legal Aid lawyers, court staff and police.
None of our volunteers are paid we run on 15000 dollars. We are in courts from Geraldton to Bunbury.

The Court Welfare Service Inc. has been operating in Western Australia’s Magistrates and Children’s Courts since 1974.

CWS VOLUNTEERS provide assistance to those attending court which includes but is not restricted to:

o personal support including attending court
o information on the court process
o information on available welfare agencies, mental health services and court-based programs
o providing a link to Legal Aid Lawyers, where available

Meaningful roles exist in the Central Law Court, Armadale, Midland, Joondalup, Fremantle, Rockingham, Geraldton and Bunbury Courts as well as the Perth Children’s Court.
