About Beach Patrol Australia

Beach Patrol Australia consist of a number of groups that involve the local community to remove litter from their local beach and in the process promote litter awareness in the general public.
The each Beach Patrol group operates a litter collection on their local beach and foreshore for one hour each month. All members of the Beach Patrol will wear shirts in the group's chosen colour and bearing the group's own logo. This draws in passers-by and beach users, highlighting the patrol’s presence and what is it doing. All litter collated is weighed and the stats from each clean up is recorded on the Beach Patrol website.
The aim is to make this a social activity for all involved and groups end their clean up with refreshment at a local cafe.
