Education Presenter Wilkinson Homestead Museum

About this opportunity

Bring history alive and join our team at the state heritage listed Wilkinson Homestead by the Canning River. We need volunteers who love to engage with students aged 6 - 12 years old and run structured half hourly activities (groups of up to 10 students). Activities include: Scone and Butter Making, Peg Doll making and role playing in an early 1900's school room.


Additional requirements

National Police Certificate *. Working with Children Check *.

Ability to communicate and teach school aged children about the past. You might be a trained or untrained teacher, playgroup presenter, parent, grandparent, uncle or aunty, teacher or child care student or a ‘born’ teacher and most of all enjoy helping kids learn about the past. Volunteers need to be organised, good communicators, and physically fit (ie able to spend up to 4 hours on their feet).

Wednesdays 9am to 1pm - during school term only
