Friend to Read the Bible
About this opportunity
Evelyn* is a friendly and kind, 91 year old former nurse and teacher who would love someone to read her the bible and a chat with her at her aged care facility in Meadow Springs. She is now visually impaired which makes it difficult to do the things she used to enjoy like reading, crossword, arts and crafts. However, she still enjoys her walks and listening to music and hymns. We are looking for someone like-minded to be a friend to Evelyn.

Covid-19 vaccination . Flu vaccination . National Police Certificate *.
No formal qualifications required. Empathy and understanding of older people is essential. Volunteers will be reimbursed out of pocket expenses. Police checks are conducted by the organisation at no cost to the volunteer.
Weekdays and Weekends time can be arranged with resident.
